We left home shortly after retrieving the kids from school. Picked up Paul from work; he had no trouble getting away, despite our fears. Easy drive to the airport, but we still had only 20 minutes after we got through security before the flight boarded. It was a full flight, and Kyla and I sat next to a very nice woman from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She has just spent a week at Disneyland and other sites in Orange County; liked Knott's Berry Farm most of all, she said.
It was a turbulence-free (and kid's-meal-free, unfortunately) flight; fairly short, too. Zipped through customs, got our rental car, and headed out to the hotel. We had a small room, with a mysterious locked door that had a transom window ... so, of course, we had to peak: it lead to a kitchenette. It was also a very hot room, so we turned off the heat and opened a window to the cool Calgary air.
