The 'Castle in the Rockies'

The ultimate getaway

Well enough working it's time to check out some more of Canada.

We got woken up at about 9am after 3 hours sleep with an offer to go to Banff. After a splash of water and some vegemite on toast (thanks mum, can't live without it), we head to Banff.

Being warned about the roads we carefully made our way there while it lightly snowed. The views were absolutely incredible, and i say it again the photos just don't do any justice. The mountains are endless and are so massive they would eat you up for breakfast.

Brandy drove us there in a Dodge and because the windows were so small we stopped every 2 seconds to take photos. Few parts of the road are quite dangerous and when the wind blows the snow accross there is barely any visibility. This aussie ain't driving that road anytime soon i tell ya that!

After a quick stop in Lake Louise we end up in Banff and I was the first to spot the castle! This is another Fairmont hotel which is the company i work for so that means discounts! World renowd, this hotel

Whataya think of this?
is stunning! The Queen has stayed at the Jasper Park Lodge, but I have been told Brad Pitt and Angelina have stayed there too. Im sure this place has had it's fair share of famous people!

Well did we live it up or what! We walked around the hotel in our Fairmont robes and slippers while sipping on wine and spirits and lounging around the fire place. Ahhhhhhhh relaxation. I literally felt like the KING OF THE CASTLE!

I will let the rest of the photos tell the story...

Dan.
