Today we are going to Challenge Chambers. We had planned to do this when we were in Dubai last year, but due to the overnight noise issues at the Radisson we had to cancel it.
We take the metro and the bus then a short walk to Sunset Mall where Challenge Chambers are. Cannot believe how quiet this shopping mall is. We have got used to the other malls which are all a lot busier.
Having allowed lots of extra time for our journey here, we stopped at Provedore Café for a coffee. It is on the Entertainer list, but unfortunately not for coffees. George had a vanilla milkshake to die for and Theresa a hot chocolate. Both were great, but a bit of a too posh establishment for us.
Challenge Chambers is a real life escape game. We think it is a little like Crystal Maze from the TV.
Since we no longer work and are also in holiday mode, our brains were not working very well for this. We did manage to find all the clues and worked out what they all meant. Unfortunately, we did not see the relevance of one of them and
that was the key. We had 30 minutes to get out. With a little help from the guy from the shop, we got out in 40 minutes and this was supposedly the easiest one. This was great fun and we would recommend this to anyone wanting to use their brains.
Back to the hotel and we go into another Tim Hortons just across the main road from the hotel and spend the final two Entertainer vouchers we have with them and have a very nice lunch.
After a rest up, we decide to make a return visit to the Indian fish restaurant we visited on Sunday. With the same travel instructions that we had last time we got there in plenty of time.
As tonight is the start of the weekend, the restaurant is a lot busier than it was last time, but the fish was just as delicious. We opted just for a big fish and no prawns this time. Again we selected fresh chipati and curry sauce with Cabbage and onion salad to accompany the dish. No cutlery, just fingers. If this presents a problem to you, be careful which countries you holiday to.
As we make our way back to the bus stop, both of the buses that would have got us back to the hotel go past. When we get to the bus stop, the next bus to stop is going to Dubai Mall so we hop on that thinking we can get off the stop before the mall and walk the rest of the way. We got talking to the driver and he advised that is would not be advisable to walk from the stop as there were too many busy roads to cross, so we went into Dubai Mall and walked to the metro for the last part of our journey home. It did not take any longer getting home this route, but at least we did not have to wait the 20 minutes for the next buses.

Day 19
Very interesting day, good food and a milk shake to die for, wow looks the yummiest. Challenge chambers, not sure that would suit me as I suffer from clostrophobia and the thought of not getting out would really freak me out but sounds good. Glad you had help or blogs no more.
