We have spent a wonderful 3 days and nights in Dubai and it is indeed a wonder to see. The architecture is unbelievable, especially when you consider that not too long ago Dubai was a desert.

We did all the touristy things we could cram in while we were there, but decided that we can't keep up the crazy pace...it's hard work travelling!

Anyway, we started by visiting the indoor ski slope in the Emirates Mall ( it's like a mini winter wonderland) and then headed to the Marina and the end of the Palm where we visited Atlantis, where they have a hotel and a waterpark to die for..it is truely amazing what they have built here!

We also visited the Dubai Mall which is next to the Burj Khalifa ( wow what a sight, not quite in our budget! ). The mall houses the Dubai aquarium and underwater zoo, which has a huge croc from Australia. He was making a nuissance of himself, so was deported! It also has a waterfall with divers coming out of the wall, so unbelievable...all in a BIG mall!

We also visited a mosque for a little culture and did a trip up the Creek (river) on a dhow which is a wooden boat.

From Dubai we flew to Oman, where the next leg of our journey is...we were very thankful to be greeted at the Airport by my Uncle and Aunty.

We have since done a BIG bus tour through Muscat, a very interresting city , that has maintained it's original architecture and up until the 1960's was a city locked at night by the City Gates...sooo cool! The city has been carved out of the mountains and is a very interesting place to vist and quite unbelievable to see.

We are loving the different foods and the spirit of adventure. We have only been away for a week, but is seems much longer !

So as we plan our next adventure, we hope that this finds you well and want to tell you, that this blog is not only to keep you informed, but also our online journal, so check it out whenever you want.

Stay safe ,

Love, The Jaytrippers!
