Meine Tage hier sind gezaehlt - genau genommen 67 Arbeitstage und mein Arbeitsvertrag wird zu Ende sein!
fast zwei jahre in der wueste von den vereinigten arabischen emiraten, wer haette das jemals gedacht??? ich jedenfalls nicht. nun, es war eine gute erfahrung aber es ist hoechste zeit wieder nach afrika arbeiten zu gehen. bevor dieser zug definitiv abgefahren ist...
ich werde paar wochen in der schweiz sein bevor ich wider ins suedliche afrika fliege um dort mitte februar zu beginnen!
am 4.10.2012 bis zum 6.10.2012 gehe ich noch nach mussandam in den oman - 2 uebernachtungen auf einem traditionellen dhau, hoffe der wind und der seegang wird nicht all zu arg sein. werde definitiv fotos von dort posten... bis dann - liebe gruesse

My days are counted - actually 67 days and my contract will be over!!
almost two years in the desert regions of the united arab emirates, who would have ever thought? I certainly did not. Now, it was a good experience, but it's time to go back to southern africa.
I will spend some weeks in Switzerland before I fly to southern africa to begin mid february!
on 04.10.2012 until 10.06.2012 I'm going to mussandam in oman - 2 nights on a traditional dhow, hope the wind and the waves will be not too

Al Maha Sunset
This picture was taken earlier this year in the Dubai Desert Conservation where i work. Beautiful sunset with our flagship species of the concession, the Arabian Oryx (Oryx leucoryx) and the Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa in the background. In Arabic the name of this animal is Al Maha - hence the name of the 5* resort.
