Well after a lovely nights sleep we woke up around 9am ready to get out & explore John still wasn't feeling the best but I dosed him on m,up tables & we went down for breakfast. breakfast was back down on the 18th floor in the wrap around 360 dinning room which showed all of Abu Dhabi at its best from high up. The breakfast was plentyful with a wide variety to chose from & the egg station is 1 of the best I've ever seen with so much choice & variety of eggs it was scrummy. After a nice long breakfast & a few cups of coffee off we went into Abu Dhabi.
We did plan on going to the Grand Mosque but as it was a Friday it isn't open to the general public until after 4pm so we drove down the long wide perfect road onto corniche street instead which is the Main Street along side the beach front we turned right onto this road when we got to the end & found a car park to park up in which was free parking right on the beach front which is unheard of back in the UK.
We had a little walk into town to find a cash machine to get some cash out as we had been paying by card up to now & as it was so hot we decided to nip back to the hotel to change into shorts & t-shirt as it was so hot & back to the beach front we headed We found another parking spot right on the beach front again this was free & walked round the back of the Emirates Palace to take some photos & also some photos of the amazing blue/green water that just looked so picture postcard perfect.
We stopped off at a little restaurant over looking the habour for a late lunch early dinner after walking round for the past few hours & nice cold glass of juice. The food was delicious & we spent a few hours ere use chilling & watching the world go by. We then decided to have a look around the Emirates Palace but as it was a Friday & there was a tennis tournament on we were not allowed into the grounds without a resevation & besides the guard at the gate told John men aren't
allowed into the hotel unless they are wearing long trousers so since he was in his jeans we couldnt of gone in anyway So back to the hotel we went & John had a little nap as the tablets were now starting to wear off & he wasn't feeling that good.
Around 9pm we went down to the 18th floor bar & decided to get a bottle of wine as we were still stuffed from our food down in the marina earlier. The waitress brought us over a large plate of dates & some almond biscuits which went very well with the bottle of white wine we were drinking.
Around 11pm we then decided to go outside & get some photos of the hotel all lite up at night as it was our last nite here at the Hyatt Gate Capital Hotel or the Leaning Tower as the staff like to call it, as the hotel is on an 18 degree angle
