Hello

As we got back from Istanbul 6 weeks today I think I will let the pictures do the talking.

I really enjoyed the visit and would recommend it for a short break. The buildings are stunning and it's quite a novelty to be able to visit Europe and Asia in one day as the city is built on both continents.Transport is cheap and easy to use so we made the most of this and travelled by boat, bus, tram, metro and funicular.Food is plentiful and readily available as is the delicious apple tea.The people were lovely and ,luckily, most of them spoke very good English.

Highlights for me were the church of St Saviour in Chora;watching the sunset form a rooftop bar overlooking the city; The Imperial Hall in the Harem in Topkapi Palace; the bus ride over the Bosphorus Bridge and enjoying a ferry ride in the sun on New Years Day.

Until the next time - take care Coral x
