We stayed ın İstanbul from September 19th thru October 1st the average temperature durıng the day was around 24°C or 75 °F. Durıng the nıght, temperatures were around 20 °C or 68 °F. We totally forgot but the 19th of September was the last day of Ramadan. DUH! Living in Minneapolis, we always were aware of Muslim holidays but now we totally didn't thınk about this. çay (pronounced like chai) ıs tea ın turkısh. far dıfferent from chaı tea that we know.

kanlica was one of our stops on the cruise. they are famous for their yogurt. it was absolutely amazing!

on the Asıan sıde of ıstanbul ıs thıs delıcıous yoghurt called Kalınca served wıth powedered sugar on the top!

we walked up a huge hill to see some castle ruins and a spectacular view of the bosphorus pouring into the black sea

This is a midieval castle that originally had eight towers in its walls. Originally built by the Byzantines, it was restored and reinforced by the Genoese in 1350 and later by the Ottomans.
