Mad dogs and Englishmen, or perhaps it should be the other way round...... mad Englishmen and bloody wild dogs! As I continue on my route through Turkey the temperature is hotting up and I am regularly experiencing temperatures in the high 30s. Over 5 years have passed since I cycled around the UK and Ireland and the time has come to get back in the ol' saddle. This time I will attempt to initially make the shores of New Zealand, initially cycling through Europe to Istanbul, the gateway to Asia, before following the silk routes through Central Asia and China to the Far East. Following a flight or preferably a boat journey to Australia, I will attempt to cycle across the Nullabor from Perth to Sydney, before heading onwards to New Zealand. Hallo Miguel, hallo Nora, vielen Dank fuer euren e-mail. Ich hoffe es geht euch beide gut. Bin heute in Antalya angekommen. War gestern in Olympos. Viele grosse Berge von Pamukkale nach Filike runter. Warte jetzt auf Bremsschuhe und eine neue Kette die von England geliefert wird und dann gehe ich in Richtung Capaddocia. Ich denke ich werde da ungefaehr am 21 Juli ankommen und werde wahrscheinlich in eine Pension Koese mich unterkünften. Ich hoffe das wir uns da wieder treffen werden. Machs gut. Clive

Antalya - Göreme
Clive, Wir sind ebenfalls seit 2 Tagen in Antalya und konnten hier endlich das Kettenprüfertool organisieren! Wir fuhren von Pamukkale über Serinhisar, Yesilova, Karamanli und Tefenni nach Korkuteli und dann runter nach Antalya - auf den Nebenstrassen wunderbare Landschaften und Menschen! Main road: Viele Touristenbusse und Verkehr. Wir werden bis voraussichtlich Donnerstag/Freitag in Antalya bleiben und nehmen dann wohl den Bus nach Aksaray von wo aus wir nach Göreme fahren wollen. Werden wohl also in etwa zur selben Zeit in Cappadokien sein - wäre schön, sich zu sehen! Bleiben wir in Kontakt - liebe Grüsse und gute Fahrt. Miguel & Nora
