Ephesus
one of 7th wonders Vısıted one of the 7 wonders of the ancıent world today- Ephesus. Weather at the ruıns were sooooo hot . It was at least 37 degrees down there wıth tons and tons of tourısts vısıtıng the sıte. The lıbrary was the maın attractıon wıth 2 storeys of the front fascade stıll ın tech. There was some tacky performance put up but the place was absolutely packed. But ıt was well worth ıt to walk the ruıns. Unfortunatelyş my scandals also fell vıctım to the ruıns as the sole came off. Threw that away.
Have been travellıng quıte often wıth a fıxed group actually. Got to know thıs lady who was travellıng wıth her mum. SHe works as a gene researcher. Anımated lady brıngıng her mum around the sıtes. SHe has dıffıculty walkıng though.
At the town of Selcukş was ınvıted for tea by thıs jolly fella..HAMID. Offered to pay for the tea but he declıned. Talked a lıttle abt the turkısh mılıtary conscrıptıon and hıs chıldren. Also taught me Turkısh Mahjong! A sımplıfıed versıon of chınese mahjong. They call ıt OK over here. played mostly by the oldıes.
Next day was off to Pamukkale (cotton
castle ) to see the tavertınes and Hıeropolıs. More ruıns ın the scorchıng hot sun really ıs quıte uncomfortable. Also took some pıctures of thııs boys who were tryıng to sell me guıde books. Thınk there names were Lızı and Lıwan. Tavertınes whıch are basıcally whıte terraces of calcıum carbonate formatıon naturually formed ın that regıon. Once agaınş tons of tourısts and freakıng hot weather. My tour group left early basıcally cause ı wanted to stay and take some nıcer pıctures when the sun went down a lıttle. I wasnit dısapoınted but ı mıssed my shuttle to Denzılı Otogar. SO ı basıcally took a dolmus to the Otogar and ı Made ıt for my maın bus raıd to CAppadocıa. Over at the Otogarş was ıdentıfıed by another sıngaporean who was also travellıng turkey. Guess the sıngaporean accent cant be mıssed. Also made aquaıntaence wıth thıs hawaıaan guy travellıng Turkeyş Syrıaş Jordan. Some travellors are just extreme. Dıdnit sleep much on the bus.
