Murray went to Syria for 1 week for war damage assessments with a team from the UN and planning for the return of refugees. We went to Damascus and visited Eastern Ghouta which is a damaged region in Damascus. It was sobering to see the extent of the destruction, with signs of hope as people were beginning to return to restart their lives after almost 8 years of war.
Our overseas move started in 2005, with a brief vacation in India. Then we joined the Tsunami relief team in Sri Lanka for a couple of years. We were then based in Nairobi, Kenya for 9yrs. Now based in Geneva, Switzerland for the past 3 years with Murray in a global role still travelling around to the hot spots. Hoping to make the most of being in Europe.... full info
