I dont understand how Jordan can be so poor and yet have one of the strongest currencies in the world. the Jordinian Dinar, is almost worth as much as the British pound - and they loooove getting you to hand over more of them than you need to. there's no real structure to the public transport so getting around is quite a mission. for example, there might be a bus going from A to B, but it doesn't leave untill it's full of punters, and if there aren't enough punters then you might get told to wait till the next next day. so we hitched around quite a bit and always seemed to get picked up pretty quick, thats where travelling with a girl comes in handy I guess. you'll see some photos of Justine in this blog, she flew into Amman a few days ago and we're going to travel down into Egypt together. well thats the plan, she's pretty annoying and smells funny so I dont know how long I'll let her tag along for 😊 Baaaargh! we went to the Dead Sea, then down to the ancient city of Petra which was amazing, then into the Wadi Rum
"just got to pop in here for a minute"
when I got across the border from Israel, I had to take a taxi to a nearby town and buddie decided to swing in a get his brake pads changed on the way - I couldn't believe it desert in the far south. very cool country, and nice people that do their best to help you out. no sign of woman though, it's definately a man's world here so everywhere we went Justine was getting gawked at.
