Again, I took the nightbus from Haifa to Eilat and arrived in Eilat at 5am (Egged bus). Me and my sister were both tired and therefore rolled out our sleepingbags and slept on the beach until 8am. Our plans for Eilat were simpel, we were going to swim, snorkel and tan at the beach. A week before we left I also booked us a divingtrip with dolphins at the Dolphin Reef. It is the only place in Eilat where you can swim with dolphins, you are not allwed to touch them, but you do swim quite close to them.
My sister never dived before and therefore did an accompanied dive, with a professional diver that she basically held hands with during the entire dive. She dived to 6 meters depth and got to see the dolphins up close. I on the other hand asked to do a refreshment dive instead. This is because my last dive was more than 6 months ago, and after that time you need to do a refreshment dive. I had to do all the basic things that I learned during my diving course in September. I was nervous cause i didnt really study before the
dive, but I passed it without problems, a little tip i got though was that I should swim slower.
And you know how dolphins look really cute when your on land and they are in the water?? Well under water they are really not that cute. They have an ugly face and the body just looks weird. I dived to 14 metres depth and a few dolphins passed me. They are really big; 2meters +. I was very excited about seeing these huge fish swimming by me, but it wasn't the most exciting thing actually. Cause, during my dive I spotted 2 sea turtles!!! Now this was absoloutely AMAZING! It is a rare thing to see seaturtles while diving in Eilat, but I was lucky enough to see 2!!! And they were super cute, so relaxed, swimming around without any worries.
The dolphin reef is really a nice place to go to and you don't even need to go into the water to see the dolphins, they swim around and pop up from the water now and then. The beach is also incredible, its a sand beach, which is rare in Eilat and it is located in this
quiet bay with trees around it. Its a really relaxing spot.
On our second day in Eilat we went to the Coral beach, the beach here is rocky and uncomfortable to walk on, but as soon as you have snorkling equipment and a diving mask it is the best place to be. Me and my sister rented snorkling masks and snorkled to the right side of the beach where there is basically a 4-5meters high wall of corals. The fish are incredible and it is really beautiful. Now I thought that I could not get any luckier after seeing both dolphins and turtles, but yes i did! While we were snorkeling I spotted this weird black coloured "stone" among white stones. I told my sister to look down cause I thought it was a stone fish. She looked down and started screaming. I looked down again aswell and to my great surprise, it was an OCTOPUS! We spotted it and it swam under a coral, but luckily there were divers down there that spotted him and lured him out. They were divers with cameras and followed the octopus all the time. While the octopus was moving he changed colours

They have small shows aswell from white to black and dotted to non dots, it was so beautiful.
After some succesful diving and snorkeling we shopped super cheap clothes (there are no taxes in Eilat) and enjoyed the feeling of summer. On the third day, early in the morning, we took a bus to Ein Gedi near the dead sea.
