More Iranian Food, Tehran

Marjan and Sadef took us out to dinner and this was our meal: this was for ONE person, we each had a platter and side dish

Drive Turkmenistan to Iran

It was a long, but scenic drive from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan over the mountains into Iran

Every floor had a landing that overlooked the lobby/downstairs area - just beautiful

There were at least six Starbucks in the mall

The mall was star shaped with each arm having a distinctive style, name, etc.; made it somewhat easy to find you way around

Modern, fast, clean, beautiful and best of all CHEAP metro was a breeze to learn and use

There were separate cars for women if they choose not to use the unisex cars - a place women and children could ride without fear of harassment. Having said that, didn't see any kind of harassment

Burj Khalifa view

I took this from the observation deck on the 124th floor

Unfortunately the fountain on the ground floor of the Burj Khalifa wasn't running when we were there, but the pools were beautiful

Dubai Architecture

The real beauty of Dubai is in their architecture - amazing buildings everywhere. This was taken from the metro train as we rode around in air-conditioned comfort

Taken from our cab window as we drove to the airport to continue our trip back to Arizona
