A long, hot and sweaty drive later we've arrived in Istanbul. The border into Turkey was long but not too stressful, we bought insurance, road tax and got laughed at a few times because of our choice of vehicle.
Having found the traffic into Istanbul a nightmare, our first impressions weren't great, but after we showered and began to relax we began to enjoy this amazing place. It's busy, but the atmosphere is electric and the people are hospitable. We had a short walk through the old town and found a restaurant that had typical Turkish dishes (kebab) and Jason and I tried turnip juice ... Which we will never do again.
