The next stop on our Canary Island hop was Lanzarote. It is also known as "Isla del Fuego" or Fire Island. With over 300 volcanic craters this is a most appropriate name. All the grape vines are protected from the strong trade winds with these low volcanic rock walls.

This was another Manrique project. He transformed gun emplacements into a Flintstone looking viewpoint perched to the top of a steep cliff.

What an experience. The can actually carry two people. Just curious...do the muzzles keep them from spitting .....or just from biting? It looks like you are having a wonderful time. Enjoy!
