Part of breakfast... did I mention the wine ;-)
Okay, so you expected perhaps a little tour of the island in our narrative... we would do it except, once again, we're having wine at 9 in the morning... so the day's a little fuzzy However, we did combine the wine with greek olives, cheese, bread...yum. What we do remember is that there are incredible white houses high up on the cliffs, and that the harbor is the middle of a volcano (the caldera) that last erupted in about 1600 BC. Local legend has it that the land that disappeared may be the lost city of Atlantis. We'd write more but there seems to be some Greek wine calling...bye for now. Tomorrow off to Turkey!

paths crossing
Your paths with Diane and Janet may pass as they travel from Turkey to Greece. Diane is a tour lecturer on a small cruise ship from Istanbul to Venice. I remember Santorini well, staying in a villa right near that iconic dome, and calamari on the terrace.

What kind of wine goes with kippers and eggs?
