Arc de Triomphe!
Our paris trip

Hi everyone! We have had a great time here in Paris so far, and have tons to say - however, everything in France seems to be done just differently enough from the English speaking world - and therefore even the keyboards are just different enough to really slow us down J. For example, typing the good old ‘the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog’ on this keyboard looks like: the auick brozn fox ju,ped over the lqwy dog 😊.

So, here is a quick summary:

Places visited

Day one:
Louvre
Arc de Triomphe
Champs d’elysees
Grand, petit palais
Obelisk from luxor - place of the guillotines
Tuilieres garden
Eiffel tower, Trocadero

Day Two:
Notre dame
Deportation memorial
Point zero
Hotel de ville
Shakespeare and company bookstore
Saint severin
Saint chappelle
Jewish quarter
Latin quarter
Pantheon
Pompidou center
Eiffel tower
Sorbonne
Curie institute
Moulin rouge
Opera house - garnier
New opera house
Bastille monument
Sacre Coeur, montmartre
Pigalle area
Narrowest house in paris

Overall, so far we have taken at least 8 different Metro lines. We also should definitely have brought our pedometer!

We have taken about 160 photos so far, but as this connection is slow, we can’t upload them now. We will try and do so in Amsterdam.
We landed at 10:30 am on the 19th, got to our hotel by noon and were out the door by one. Came home by 11pm and crashed J. Today we got out by 9:30 and just got home at 10:45pm - hopefully we will continue to have the energy to continue this as it has been fantastic so far. We leave for Amsterdam tomorrow at 3:30pm, and plan on going to the Orsay museum and checking out what looked like the Indian or rather, South Indian section of Paris - one store even had its name written in Tamil!

Hope you are all doing well! Au revoir from Paris!
