Florence, home of the Renaissance.

As mentioned, had a bugger of a time with finding a place, but ended up in a fantastic hostel in town. Is part of the 'PLUS!' chain, of which I know Trent and Em stayed at the caravan park/resort here a few years ago.

Have had a couple of really cruisy days here. Managed to get to the Duomo yesterday, which was wet and rainy, but went up the dome nevertheless. Spent some time in the leather markets - Kerryn is so spoilt! and checked out the Medici chapel, Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery today.

Tomorrow, we're off to Assisi for a quick visit, then catching up with Chris and Rochelle just out of Rome in Trieste, before continuing down to the Amalfi coast - gonna be a big day!
