I woke in Albuquerque at 4:30am, drove to the rental car, returned the car, then took the shuttle bus to the airport. I arrived in time to get a coffee then board the plane. I could not check my bag all the way to London, but I had plenty of time at the airport in SFO. We arrived SFO early, before 8am. I picked up my bag, went to the International terminal, checked my bag, went through security (no line) and then to the club. I had about five hours in the Club before Paul arrived. I worked and eavesdropped on conversations.

Paul arrived about 1:30pm. We had a coffee, then packed up to board the plane. As we were walked towards the gate, we heard our names called for immediate boarding … even though boarding had only start 10 minutes ago. Turns out there were only 70 people on our plane! We had the last seats in business class, the ones that face economy, but it didn't matter, since no one was in the bulkhead row. Almost didn't need to fly business.

We had dinner then slept.
