Westminster abbey/ Buckingham palace prep

The TV media are out in full force. Even people not interested in monarchy apparently want to see the wedding because it's a celebrity event. even MTV is here to cover it.

Couple interesting things:
-some poor couple is getting married on the Saturday at the abbey and have had to change their flowers and colour scheme for their wedding. Not bad to have Kate and Williams hand me downs however
-the flowers and trees for the church are coming from the royal palaces gardens. After the wedding the trees will be planted at high grove
-all it says outside the abbey is wedding Friday, by invitation only, in relation
to the big event. You have to love how understated the British are
-all the gold around big Ben etc has been polished . As has the gold on the abbey, and the houses of parliament across the street. It's a pretty sparkly place now.
-Quebec house, is on the parade route. So the province that is the least likely to be into the wedding has the best views from their offices to get a VIP view.
-the Best wedding souvenirs are for sale at Westminster abbey. Or at least the most classy ones. They have been commissioned specifically for sale at the abbey only to raise funds for the church
-another irony. The church making the most money off the wedding is the
Methodist church. It's located right across from the entrance of Westminster abbey and have sold the rights to the US tv stations to put commentary booths on scaffolding on their property.

Today there are a lot of grandparents with their grandchildren about. Even the locals seem to be getting enthusiastic

Supposed to rain Friday. So most of the tv commentary booths are getting glass and plastic put on the front of their booths so people like Barbara Walters don't have to endure the rain. Though I think it wou
D be interesting to see how she coped with her hair getting messed.
