We love to travel and experience different places and particularly like to view and photograph the world's wonderful array of wildlife - and we are so so lucky to still be able to do so although a little slower these days. After retiring in 2010, we have travelled the world covering every continent as older generation nomads - hence our name Silvernomads. We have been really blessed to live out our retirement as we had always dreamed when we worked all those long years. Emerging from Lockdown
I'm so pleased you were able to get out and about. You were very lucky to have such beautiful weather. I've been Following Jennifer Jones (Jengog) who also just emerged with a trip to Devon and Wales, with rain the entire time, and Alex is also experiencing poor weather. I loved your pictures of the flowers and birds.

It looks like the travel restrictions have encouraged bloggers to explore and write about things closer to home and it is wonderful as you are the experts. Even when it is a location you have not been to you have lots of friends who recommend those off the beaten track locations. We've been following Alex also. We've gotten some great ideas from both of you. We can't wait to travel again. Lots of great photography. Thanks for taking us along. MJ

Our Beautiful Island Home
I loved reading this, thank you Paul and Sheila. We do indeed live on a wonderful Island, and reading your blog entry reminded me very much of this. It seems as though you have had a wonderful summer and travelling time, despite the circumstances. Thank you for your inspiration, I feel inspired to visit places such as Norfolk, Wales and Cornwall. Also great to hear you've been able to explore the lovely area around Winchester. I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your Aunt. Let us indeed hope that we can travel abroad sometime soon, but in the meantime your blog has given me hope that there is still much to explore in this beautiful island home of ours.
