01 Castle Coch
Inside the castle grounds. Geo: 51.5329, -3.15742
Got up early this morning (9.30am). Walked to the bus stop and caught the bus to Swansea. As I walked to the bay to catch the bus to Cardiff it drove off!! So I had an half an hour wait until the next one. Once the bus arrived I found a seat and had a snooze- I am now really good at sleeping on buses, a new gained skill. An hour later I arrived in Cardiff and found the next bus to take me to Castle Coch. The bus didn't stop near the castle, but at the bottom of the hill- doh! Had lunch at a pub and then began the walk up. It killed my calf muscles after yesterdays walk, but I made it. The castle was little, but very cute. It was rebuilt from ruins 150 years ago. Perfect size for me to live in!! Also had a dungeon.
Walked back down the hill and caught the bus to Caerphilly. Got off opposite the castle. This is the largest castle in Wales. Looks pretty cool. It is surrounded by water and was built in the 13th century. One of the towers leans at an angle of 10 degrees.
02 Inside
Inside the castle grounds and looking up at the tower. Part of the castle is left in ruins and some has been rebuilt. I enjoyed it.
Walked to the bus station to get a bus back to Cardiff to find out that I had missed it by 5 minutes and the next one was in an hour!! How annoying!! Finally made it back to Cardiff to catch the bus back to Swansea. At Swansea I then caught the bus to the Mumbles- which went the long way!! Finally made it back to Andy's and continued to enjoy his pay TV!!
