In very blustery weather we continued southwards mainly on narrow, twisting and undulating single track roads through the remote Assynt, an area of dramatic rocky moorland dotted with lochs and steep sided individual mountains and bordered by coasts with small offshore islands and white sandy beaches.
We stayed on the Coiach peninsular at a beautifully located campsite overlooking the Summer Isles.
