21 June 2017 With some frustration over the past week or so we have watched 98%!o(MISSING)f the U.K. enjoying a period of settled and warm weather, whilst over the far north of Scotland a narrow but persistent cold front brought cool and unsettled conditions. At least we didn’t have to endure the plus 30° temperatures!
We said a fond farewell to Ard Neike and drove around Loch Eriboll to Durness, the most north western village in the U.K. The north western point of the U.K. is Cape Wrath. The only way of getting there is by crossing the sea loch of Kyle of Durness by a small boat and then taking an 11 mile minibus ride on very rough roads to the lighthouse on the Cape. We had an enjoyable time doing this trip.
We stayed the night on a carpark on the shores of Kyle of Durness.
