The second day of our tour we roamed outside of the bus quite a bit. We wandered around the Culloden Battlefield, where the Jacobites and Bonnie Prince Charlie were defeated by the Duke of Cumberland, and tried to make sense of the ancient stones of the Neolithic Clava Cairns. We had a very informative tour at at Tomatin Distillery, and Bryan and Hannasampled a dram of their whiskey.

Our lunch stop was in the ski resort area of Aviemore, after which we enjoyed a leisurely hike to Green Lake. Along our journey home we passed Loch Leven, where Mary Queen of Scots was held prisoner in a castle, and crossed the Forth Bridge back to Edinburgh. This was the end of our 450 mile trip, and after finding our hotel we enjoyed a delicious curry dinner and got ready for Ireland.
