As you can see we are now heading down south toward Edinburgh near the end of our journey in Scotland. But I need to tell you about our stay in Prague which was great. We had 4 nights in a wonderful hotel that was just off the square, so really in the centre of town. Prague is a wonderful place with so much happening and so many things to see. We only touched the surface but with lots of walking, a bus ride and a boat ride we managed to see heaps of things. We celebrated Pam's birthday with a dinner in a restaurant at the top of Henry's Tower which is a old bell tower with a good view out on the town. Very clad that the bell didn't toll for us as we were sitting right next to it. A pleasant evening. Di and Pam had a foot massage which includes arms shoulders legs etc which they enjoyed so much that we all had another the following day. While Di and Pam had theirs the first time, Warwick and I had a different type of foot massage, the fish type which I have seen in many places but not

We ran into Steve and Marit even with all the crowds. Good to see them.
had. With fish chewing on your feet for 1/2 hour it's quite relaxing.

Walking the Charles Bridge across the river, joining in with the other million people crossing it, walking to the palace in 39C heat and sitting by the river with a chilled beer or ice coffee. Such a neat place to go. Di and Pam found many shops that needed exploring and Warwick and I sat and enjoyed coffee and watching people. We did enjoy one shopping complex which had an unusual mens toilet. When I walked into it I thought that I had walked into the ladies but it was only photo's of ladies on the walls with various expressions on their faces while holding things such as rulers or microscopes. Really very funny and everyone that went in there came out with a smile and a chuckle. I don't think we would get away with it in NZ, not politicly correct. Prague is really a very lovely city and I would certainly recommend it for a visit. And now, we are off to do our bus trip through Scotland. Looking forward to a bit of a cooler climate. It will be hard putting long trousers

Keep looking!
Great to read your blog on Prague. You surprised us (Steve and Marit) when you strode up right beside us in the busy square (who would have thought we would actually cross paths the one day we overlapped in vacation-crowded Prague! You surprised us as much as those toilet room (is that what you call them in NZ?) ladies surprised you. I missed that toilet stop. It did look funny. Like you, we agree that Prague was a winner!
