Confusion & Dismay

Only a true Thomas the Tank Engine fan would be this distraught on seeing that there is an error in the Thomas & Friends magazine (Peter Sam actually has a square funnel, not a round one). We did send this in to the letters page, but have not heard back.

Daddy's birthday cake

Possibly the ugliest cake ever. I made this from three chocolate swiss rolls and a shedload of buttercream. Based on an original idea of Daddy's that he'd planned for my 40th cake. Only that one would've had seven swiss rolls and a little figure at the back. Me apparently, over the hill. Luckily I heard about this plan and vetoed it before it went too far.
