Awake at 4:00 am, down to lobby with luggage at 5:00 am!
On the coach with "box breakfast" and we're off
to Kings Cross Station.
Had to WAIT to board our train (for this we arose at 4:00 am???)
Now we're riding a fast train through the "country" on our way to Edinbrugh.
At least we are SITTING not walking (myfeet can rest).
We arrive at Waverly train station and are met by
Sylvia/guide and board a coach for a panoramic tour of Edinbrugh.
Old City vs. New City, Edinbrugh Castle ........ We learned a lot about the City.
I am tired and start to fall asleep ZZZZZZZZ.
Sylvia took us to the Edinbrugh Botanical Gardens for a break.
John and I bought a sandwich at a cafe there.
Then we sat on a bench (in the shade) and ate lunch.
Finally we arrived at Queen Margaret University (QMU) and got our room assignments,
unpacked, and settled in.
Everyone has their own room (cell/cubicle) with bath
and we have lots of
adjustments to make.
We have room and suite key, swipe card to get in to building,
meal ticket,Train pass, Bus ticket, thick packet
of Fringe catalogue, maps and schedules. ACH!!
Amazing how much we take for granted
and when that changes, how lost/overwhelmed we feel.
Until we adjust and learn different behaviors
(commonly called the learning curve).
QMU is a new college campus and buildings are very modern in style and clean.
Our first dinner in the dinning hall was fine
and we're all tired enough to rest and go to bed soon.
I hope I sleep better tonight.
