The lake (or Loch) is 24 miles long, 1 mile long, and almost 800 ft deep. It contains more fresh water than all the lakes in England and Wales combined. Most of the Lochs in the area have alleged monsters, probably started by clans people trying to keep their children away from the deep water.. yet sightings still continue today.. although none on our trip (unfortunately)
