Internet in the Highlands is patchy at best but now we are back!

It was very fitting that our hotel in the Lake District, known for its connection with Beatrix Potter, was surrounded with rabbits and birds in the evening. We did the tourist trail during the day but decided against queueing for 2 hours to see Beatrix Potter's house, and they are quiet at the moment because of the Olympics! It is a very picturesque part of England.

Tuesday we left early, stopped in Carlisle to visit the castle and get some lunch which we ate by Hadrians Wall, before heading into Scotland. That night we stayed near Glasgow and before heading to Loch Ness where we were without internet for a week!
