Brian ClarkeAfter the horrors of Brighton it was great to finally see some sand upon my return to Bournemouth. This city is a great place to party and, as per my last visit here, I ended up sleeping on a mattress in the staff section of the Walkabout!

For some strange reason the Brits feel the need to surround anything resembling a beach with a collection of tacky rides and amusement parlours. Unfortunately Bournemouth is no exception.

Despite that it's a great place to visit and close enough to London (about 2 hours on the train). So a great day trip when the sun is shining.
