Hope that car has its handbrake on !
We took Thomas to see Old Mother Shiptons cave. in Knaresborough. On arrival we soon scoffed our sandwiches while Thomas made himself at home in the children’s adventure playground. Little T showed no fear and was soon flying down slides meant for kids twice his age :-).

We made the 15 minute walk up to the Old Mother Shiptons Cave, now this was the point I expected Thomas to get scared as he has a thing about caves due to the story "Where going on a bear hunt". But Thomas once again showed no fear and was soon shaking hands with the stone witch inside the cave, we took photos of the The Petrifying Well which is a natural phenomenon that incases objects in stone when hanged underneath the well. Many objects can be seen encased in stone, from hats to teddy bears. John Wayne’s hat was even in the museum incased in stone. We turned back after making a wish in the well and visiting the museum and buying our usual tack from the gift shop.

Before heading home we hired a rowing boat and went down stream to look at the river wildlife. Thomas was soon sleepy

ALl these items have been covered in stone, it takes 12 months for a teddy bear to be incased
so we set off home safe in the knowledge that Thomas will never be scared of witches.
