It takes much dedication to rise at an early hour to go see some very large rocks arranged in a mysterious pattern. We did it. Bath (Baath) is about an hour from Stonehenge and we had a personal appointment to get up close and personal with these rocks. If you contact the National Trust and fill out some paperwork you can make an appointment to go inside the fence and stand amongst the stones. This I highly recommend. There is no longer a chain link fence but you are kept a distance away if you don't make an appointment. Stonehenge is not a big circle but the stones themselves are huge. So many questions fly through your mind as you look at these rocks. How, why, how, why..... We can only speculate the answers.

3000 years old. THREE THOUSAND!

Stonehenge is on Salisbury Plain, aka windy!

There are loads of websites out there. Here's one: http://www.stonehenge.co.uk

If you click on the map of this entry and then convert it to the satellite you can see the stones from above.
