Avebury and Stonehenge

N..'s nephew, joined us for the day, away from his work in London.

Visited Avebury, which has a large stone circle around the village. The stones are not as big as those at Stonehenge, but impressive because of the size of the stone circle.

Then visited Stonehenge, as you can tell from the pictures. Surprisingly it was not as touristed as we expected. It was busy for a weekend afternoon, but not as bad as we'd expected.

It was a hot day and we were quite exhausted from the heat. Came home to a wonderful dinner that N..'s cousin had cooked.
