71 miles. Total so far 647 miles.
Started the day with a diving wind thet did all it could to prevent me going uphill and taking the full benefit of gliding down the other side. However as we were coming off the Pennines there was going to be a net advantage o0ver inclines and declines. So it proved to be. When I got on the outskirts of one of those rugby league towns we used to hear Eddy Waring rant on about, Keighly, Otley? can't remember, there was a pteasing ride along side the canal network all the way to beyond Leeds. The only hills were beside multiple locks, and all these were going down my way. The only thing that slightly spoilt the enjoyment was that at times the paths were suited more to mountain bikes than my slim and delicate speed machine. Anyway it was great arriving at my sister's to be welcomed by her and Eric, and a day off the next day.
