our funky little bathroom
Hey All,

Thought i better do a blog on our home for the next 3 months, well 2 months now because we have nearly been here for 4 weeks. Our welcoming was really great, everyone here is so lovely. "Hi ya, you alright" is the usual greating which brendan and i have nearly mastered. Everything is "well funny" and "a right mess" but we are slowly working our the lingo.
We are set up in our own little house which has been so good, can clean out our packs and not live out of a bag which has been heaven.
Since being here we have visited a far few of the surrounding towns including Skipton which was a nice little market town (actually famous for them) we just missed them because we were a little late though. Also York which was a mazing, we did a free walking tour which was awesom. The guy told some ghost stories as well because apparently the town in meant to be haunted!! The walls surrounding the entire town were amazing and the catherdral was one of the best we have seen. Went to the famous pub there for lunch and tasted a few

of the local ales and sandwiches. Also been into Leeds a few times. Its a very hip town and i try to avoid it as much as i can because all teh girls get extremely dressed up and i look a litttle out of place in my polar fleece and cargo's plus there is too much temptation to spend money with so many clothes shops. I went to harrogate yesterday which was goregous. Brendan had to work, he has been getting about 3 days a week work which has been good. Harrogate is famous for its springs so of course i went to the museum and then went to the famous tea shop and had tea and yorkshire scones with all the oldies. Loved it.
On the job front, i got a job in the childrens play centre which opens on the 29th, i will be mainly working weekends while brendan in playing cricket helping out in the cafe and taking kids parties. Should be a blast, i hope.
The cricket has been going well, brendan is yet to play at home, this weekend i think he is which will be good so i will get some shots of that

gardens in Harrogate
so i can at them to this blog later. The Otley cricket ground is actually pretty gorgoues, anyway you look you are great views.
We head to portugal on monday and then 1 week after that we go to ireland and also london, so trying to see as much as we can while we are here while still trying to make some cash for our last 2 months of travel which we are trying to plan now so that we can see as much as we can in the 2 months, i think we might need a holiday when we get back by the looks of our itinery.

Missing you all...xoxo

Nice work on the house, Stace. Looks very comfy. It's nice to settle for a bit, hey. Make the most of it coz you'll be on the road before you know it!! Keep up the good work with the blogs. They make our lives more interesting and remind us of our own good times. :-) Loved reading about the driving in Portugal - I remember some very tense times - punching of car doors, Dave nearly pulling the hand brake out of the console. Ahh, travelling. Love it!! Have fun!!
