Mini theme park inside Metro mall in Newcastle
Road trip! Kevin & I pack all our bags into the car, anyone would think that we were going for weeks, but it's only two days. A girl can never be too prepared, hair straightner, warm clothes, going out clothes, casual clothes, make up, shoes, the list goes on. Kevin has one small bag containing everything he needs, typical!

We get to Newcastle after a 2 - 3 hours drive arriving in miserable weather but not as cold as we thought it would be. Our hotel ends up being really nice and big considering I was trying to cut down on costs by going for a cheaper hotel. We settle in and I phone Vicki as we have plans to head out in Newcastle that night.

I've heard so many good things about going out in Newcastle, really friendly people, lots of alcohol and a happy atmosphere. After 2 hours of getting ready & lazying around, Vicki being 2 hours late we have a few drinks before heading to a place called the gate which is like a mall of restaurants, pubs and a couple of clubs.

There are so many people out, we have a few drinks

in a pub while talking then we head to a club where there is two levels, top level being Hip hop, R&B, bottom floor, more rock, old skool etc. After having too many vodka and orange and Vicki buying us each three shots of coloured vodka we were dancing away and having a really good time. We ended up catching a taxi around 3am, not before we got a burger to eat from a little van parked up on the pathway.

The Next day there is no rest for the wicked we are up dressed and ready to go shopping, at one of the biggest malls I've ever seen. It's so big that there are 5 mcdonalds, a mini theme park with rollercoaster and everything. Half the time we kept getting lost as we only wanted to head to certain shops as there was no way that we would be able to get around the whole mall, I think by the end of it Kevin was wishing he stayed back at the hotel, hehe. I definitely plan on going back there again.

Apart from going out to dinner later that night we didn't get to see much
