it's been a long time since I flew without a stop over and I did have many concerns but overall I would do it again. I was underwhelmed by MAS, though we did get here! (Too soon?). Air Asia is so much better in every way so I will keep recomending them.

First leg of the journey was ok, in a 2 3 2 configuration on our own So Kasey could stretch out, I should explain that Cooper and Greg flew QANTAS and Kasey and I flew Malaysian Airlines, all about the cost really. You can follow Coopers trip via SCG youth IX england tour on Facebook.

the international airport in KL was very basic, nicer than the low cost terminal but missing a newsagent or book shop so Kasey and I just tried to keep walking for the two hours. Deptrating at 2315 on an A380, all on time and we were seated with a nice woman who didn't mind us getting up and down during the trip, excellent seats so thanks to Sharon Nellies. We used the melatonin, I think it helped. My biggest problem in even though I only have one coffee a day my body is missing it first thing in the morning, which is the middle of the night here, so it's not so much jet lag as coffee lag.

arrived about one hour early, took about 20 minutes to get through immigration then made our way to terminal 3 to meet Greg. the transport her is so good, so sensible and efficient! We ended up waiting for about an hour but they made it, the team looked very tired. a brief good bye to Cooper and we grabbed the hire car and we're off. the Navman thankfully worked so we save ourselves over 250 pounds.

Greg ended up with a travel injury, his right knee so we made a few stops on the way to Oxford, basically Turing off when ever we saw a town we thought looked interesting. footage from the journey, on the very narrow roads captured by Kasey attached. Oxford city centre is undergoing massive renovations and road work, it's always been a hrad city to get around but it's now impossible. Luckily we are saying right near a park and ride, essential in this part of the world. We did drive in as it was Sunday morning and it wasn't too bad, just no parking. eventually parked and had a shop for basics, which somehow included clothes for Kasey!

Our early checkin at Travelodge paid off, we were unpacked and showered by 3pm. As much as we were trying to stay awake we all were asleep by 6pm
