I went to a presentation by Simon Reeve the other night. Simon who? http://www.simonreeve.co.uk Simon Reeve and I quote is “an adventurer and New York Times bestselling author and TV presenter who has travelled to more than 110 countries”. He is best known in Britain for making really interesting travel programmes, wandering the world as he puts it “thanks to the licence payer”.You should watch them, if you never have. If you have watched them, watch them again! In the US he is perhaps better known as a best-selling author and pundit by virtue of having written a book about a bloke called Bin Laden, before the rest of the world had become conscious of him and his group. One salmon ain't no good to them ........... sang Chris Rea on the song of the same name, before singing about the M25 became more the norm when the pressures of the business made him move closer to the centre of the industry. This blog was just an experiment with a new camera, but in some senses it became a journey down the Tees. I published the photos, but didn't write any script until a few months after - ironically on the day the steel plant was due to come back into production. It was meant to have been back on stream when the photos were taken in December, so whether it'll materialise is another matter.
