We took a day trip to Liverpool, England organized by the international student office here at Leeds. It's about 1 1/2 hours west of Leeds by bus and is best known as the birthplace of the Beatles!

Albert Dock is located right on the ocean and has tons of shops, restaurants and museums around the dock

Nicole is a good friend of mine here, she actually goes to the University of Minnesota and lived in Frontier Hall freshman year but we never met!

the vaulted ceilings were incredible

Beatles Museum
this is a replica of the Cavern Club where the Beatles often played and got their start

outside the Cavern Club
standing outside of the real Cavern Club in the city centre, it still has the same famous address 10 Mathew Street and occupies 50% of the original space

inside
it was great to hang out where the Beatles spent a lot of time

I've heard Liverpool doesn't have much to do EXCEPT going to the Cavern. Did you find that to be true?
