Snow on our car
Left Skegness at around 10.00 a.m. with some trepidation because of weather forecast for snow and holdups to traffic. We went and bought a blanket and some food (biscuits) and one bottle of water in case. The snow on the cars and housetops was our morning greeting, and then as we left the city area the snow provided those scenes that you only have seen on postcards or movies. Fields covered in snow, fences with snow where the wind made it stick and then the trees, hedges, footpaths, and just about everything else had its own tale to tell.
Only about 20 minutes into the trip and we came across a roundabout with cars, trucks pointing in various directions and a policeman in large bright yellow parka waving arms and pointing. On arrival at his "welcoming" face he said the road ahead was blocked and we needed to go to Alford. So we said we are from Oz and what does that mean as we are going to Liverpool. Turn here and follow the road etc,. Turned out to be a reasonable detour with more of that picture postcard stuff.
The trip through the secondary roads was without incident and we

eventually joined the M180 which joins the M62 westward. Snow became thicker as we reached the top of the Pennines and dropped away to nothing near Manchester to Warrington before increasing near Liverpool. A few drivers had come to grief, the worst being a 4-5 car incident just west of Leeds, but there were isolated cases where individuals had stoped for something.
Arrived in Liverpool at approx 2.00 p.m. and joined then family to take Erin to LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts). Snowed again as we departed and that was a magical feeling. Some more snow overnight, and a little on Sunday morning.

Spring and Glenlock
Thanks for comment - we are taking notes for you for your trip. Snow should be gone by then. Have a lovely Easter camp at Glenlock, we'll be thinking of you all. Many caravaners here have stayed at home because of snow and some have been snowbound. Amazed to see a Ford Fiesta towing a van the other day. Take care - love P & J

Hi P & J Is 23rd Mch. your last entry re photos? Are you just slack or are we not getting them? Enjoying so far, but it's a long time between drinks for we poor old souls stuck with the mundane back home!! Oh, just in case you are wondering, ...no, we haven't had any snow here, just a drop or two of 'rain', if you are lucky enough to have your nose in the air at the right time to catch it!! Hugs to both,.......J & R

Slack Jack
Hi folks - we have had a bit of a slack time with photos - have put up a few for the week. Don't get out much when with family and it is too jolly cold anyway. Hope you enjoyed the latest blog and email which is still best way to communicate. Love and hugs P&J (Snow-White)

Hi Phil & Jenny, How's everything going - haven't heard from you for a while. Out of sight - out of mind !!!!! Looking forward to seeing some more photos. We are having beautiful weather here at the moment - I should send you some photos, it would make you both homesick !!! Take care driving, and enjoy yourselves. Our sympathy to you both on the passing of your dad, but really it was a blessing. I haven't seen your Mum yet, but I believe she is handling it ok. Love to you both, Glenys & Sam & family. xxxx

Crazy Time
Hi folks - thanks for message - have had one heck of a time trying to get internet and free time. Have managed to start a mass upload and the photos are not edited but will be later. Internet access will be hard to come by in next day or so and expect a busy photo session from next Tuesday in Scotland. Thanks for message about Mum - we rang her the other day from our mobiles which was not too bad.
