However, I intend to give it a damn good shot; especially after recently being told (jokingly, of course.... I hope!!!) that I could not write and my 'England' was not up to scratch either ... Over the last month I have been around the majority of the country, visiting who I could, whilst attempting to pack my life away into cardboard boxes and trying to decide what very important possessions I may need in my life in the next 6-24mnths. Geo: 52.7708, -1.20435Well at long last we're ready, I think, all the necessary things like house insurance renewals which lapse whilst we're away, contact lists in the event of just about everything, and a check list of things to be checked whilst we're away for our house minders AKA Stephen & Michelle have been taken care of.The suitcases are packed, only 5 this time, and thankfully as my medication's been reduced since the last trip I don't need a complete flight case just for my meds. I still have half a flight case full of meds but it leaves room for some of the more important things like wine boxes. "Great breasts." You know you've hit a low point in life when such comments are aimed at you, rather than your wife who's walking beside you. I was in England for the first time in 2½ years and this insult, from a group of uniform wearing students, was my welcoming message. It hit home hard. I'd been living in Asia, gorging on everything edible, and was in the worst physical shape of my life; bouncy man boobs and a derriere that would continue to wobble long after other body parts had stopped. Having never seen much of England before, I'd promised my American wife a spot of sightseeing around my native country. Travelling around England has never appealed to me.
