The group on boxing day
Everyone after a few drinks! Starting from the bottom, Kevin going around from left Ria (peace fingers) Hayley (blondy) Douvet, Kelly (u can just see) Robo with his arm around Cookie's neckThe last few days have been very eventful, we had our Christmas work function on Friday which was a great night. Got to meet many of the girlfriends, wifes, husbands of fellow workers while having a lovely meal at The Manor inn (Quorn), of course far too much alcohol for some people. But there were no fights, no embarassing moments so everyone will be back to work on Monday. (After a weeks holiday!)
Saturday night was watching Kevin's cousin Louise sing in a karaoke semi final that unfortunately she got voted off. I felt so sorry for her as everyone was there supporting her. She only went in it for a laugh and ended up in the Semi finals, so she did well. There were young kids also in a kids karaoke competition that were so cute, singing their hearts out.
Sunday night Christmas eve Kevin's friends wanted to head out for a few drinks, Cookie, Ria, Kelly, Robo, Douvet, Hayley, Ryan, Bex and a few others that I can't remember right now as they didnt stay long. The christmas decorations looked amazing at Kevin's house, thanks to Sue (Kevin's mum) no deal on this gaming machine, so of course guys being guys we were there for 30 - 40mins playing on this game before heading to Bullshead pub and then the Blue ball which I liked. This one older VERY drunk guy was singing on the karaoke and dancing all over the little stage. Kevin and Robo even tried to sing common people, failed badly, but had a good laugh.
And finally! Christmas morning, I awake to have my family call me which was lovely, definitely made me miss everyone! Mum, Dad, brother, sister, brother in law, nieces x2, nephew even Uncle Paul. Christmas was different in England as expected, we had a lovely roast meal, Sue and I played the pub quiz on tv and totally relaxed, we just sat around all day eating! Exactly what we needed after a few days of non stop going out and to prepare us for our trip to Newcaslte on the 27th...
