Yup it does what it says on the tin. Only 5 mins from the CT. Vicky the check in manager was super helpful and friendly. Room prettty good but HOT!

We puttered down the M20 only taking a slight detour towards The Dartford Tunnel as I was avidly listening to Cathy's stories about Football suicides....she also recorded a program about Horses in WW1 the other night which was particularly miserable. Any after a scenic tour of The Kent Weald we arrived at the hotel. Good room and very well kept but reminiscent of a well appointed care home.

Arthur the whisky policeman has changed teams and now plays for Gin United. The bag of dry roasted peanuts has been attacked and once more we are looking forward to the onion rings and knickerbocker glory in the "Beefeater Griill" next door.

Mission: Bed and rest before early start. Belgium beckons: famous for impossibly strong beer, Tin Tin, Eddie Merckx, Audrey Hepburn, basements and more interestingly folding up within 5 days in both World Wars.

More to follow.......
