Hi Everyone! Happy New Year. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year holiday and are all ready to go back to schoool? lol I had a lovely time as my Mum and Dad came to visit me. Ollie and Benji didn't like so many people in the house though and hid for most of the holidays! Daft cats! We went on the Isle of Wight Steam railway on Boxing Day as my Dad loves trains and we had a lovely time. I have added some photos to show you. I hope Santa brought you everything you wanted? Let me know what your favourite present was... mine was chocolate! (as you all know! ) Take care and I look forward to hearing your stories. Thanks to all of you who sent me Christmas greetings ... read more

Hi All :)I hope you are all well and enjoying your half term! I heard about you all dressing up for arts week and it sounds fab!! We are still really enjoying ourselves down here and have had some lovely weather! I took some lovely photos of The Needles at sunset last night so thought I would share them with you. Today we went for a lovely walk up a VERY steep hill to the top of Tennyson Down which is very near my house! I am now very tired but it was such a lovely walk I thought I'd share some of the photos with you all! :) Ollie and Benji are both well and still enjoying themselves (Obviously Benji more than grumpy Ollie! lol). It is getting cold at night now so they are ... read more

Hi! I finally have the phone line (and internet) connected at home and so I can update my blog and reply to your posts! Sorry it has taken me so long! :) We have managed to unpack all the boxes (just about) and explored our local area a little! Ollie and Benji have settled in really well and Ollie has even been outside on a couple of adventures! He also has been fighting with the cat next door to show him who's boss (and seems to be winning :) Benji hasn't wanted to go outside yet, but he is more of a wimp ;), he has prefered to hide in the house - his favourite hiding place is up the chimney as there is a ledge just above the fire! What a daft cat!!! I hope ... read more

I went out in the garden today to find Benji on top of the watering can!! He then tried to put his head in the hole - daft cat!! -luckily he didn't get stuck! lol I think he might like it when we get to the seaside, maybe he'll be playing like this on the beach! ? Ollie has gone off on one of his adventures, as he does each day, last night he didn't come home until midnight!!! I wonder where he goes? Look out for him on your travels, he has a red collar now - you never know how far he gets when he's the adventure cat! :) But don't worry about him, he ALWAYS comes home! I hope you are all enjoying your summer holidays? I am still packing up the house ... read more

Hi peoples! I thought I would try this out by adding some words and photos to get the blog started. Tomorrow is my last day at Coundon Primary and as you all know I will be very sad! (maybe a few tears too) But I thought I'd show you a little bit of what I'm going to be living near from the end of the summer holidays. :) Will update this as often as I can with more news! We had an early start this morning so that we could catch the ferry over to the Isle of Wight from Lymington. We were aiming to catch the 10.45am ferry so wanted to arrive in Lymington by about 10.15am. We pulled up at the ferry terminal closer to 10.25am and with no booking we were told to join queue 5 and we would be fitted on the 10.45am ferry if possible. When loading started we inched our way forward to the head of queue 5 and it was looking like we were going to be first on the 11.45am ferry when all of a sudden they decided they could fit one more car on. Yay, we made the 10.45am crossing! On our arrival at Yarmouth we turned left towards Newport. Just short of Newport we took ... read more

Hi Everyone! Today is my last day in London. I am taking it easy, in preparation for leaving for Paris tomorrow! I woke up around 9am, ate left over pasta, washed my laundry in the bathroom sink, and walked to the library about 10 blocks from my hostel. I was going to use the day to play on the internet and research more of my trip, but the wi-fi there is only for library members. So I decided I would go see one more museum! The Victoria and Albert museum. Named for its founders Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, who from all reports were great people very devoted to their roles as public servants and British culture. In any case they founded a great museum, which like all the London museums is FREE! This is very ... read more
