Walking around Kingsworthy
After staying at Auntie Susan's, Nan and Pop picked us up and we made our way to their house in Kingsworthy near Winchester. It was surreal driving through the city where I grew up, but excited to show Andy the area.

Nan and Pop's felt like a home away from home which was great! The first night Nan took us out to the BEST (also Dad's favourite) curry restaurant in Winchester called the Ghandi. The owner of the Ghandi recognized me(it had been years since I ate there) and we got some free entrées... Dad must have been a good customer!

Kingsworthy is a nice little village in the country so Andy and I decided to take a walk around the area. Our plan was to start in Kingsworthy and end up at a pub called "The Chestnut Horse" in Easton for a drink, the whole walk was about 5 kms. It was a great day for the walk, and very picturesque. Along the way we had to cross a paddock to get to the pub, halfway we noticed that there was a huge horse standing at the gate where we had to exit. We found this funny because we were standing in the middle of the field for 15 minutes scratching our heads trying to figure out how to get the horse to move. In the end we were both scared that this huge horse was going to trample us, so we walked around the long way to get to the pub(which was on the other side of the gate where the "chestnut horse" was blocking!).

We spent a day in Winchester and had a look around Winchester Cathedral and the Great Hall(only part of Winchester Castle remaining) which holds King Arthur's Round Table. Winchester used to be the capital of England during Saxon times. We also walked around the cathedral grounds and saw Jane Austin's house near by, this was where she spent the last months of her life.

Nan and Pop took us on a day trip to Stone Henge was which really fun, unfortunately we couldn't go right up to the stones but got some great photo's none the less. We missed the celebration of the rising sun on the summer solstice which apparently is amazing at Stone Henge(they allow you to go right up to the stones), also it was a very

Can't see it in the photo but there was trout in the water
early start... too early for the both of us 😊 After Stone Henge we had a picnic in a field near by which was really nice.

While we were in Winchester we caught up with some of Dini's family freinds Helen and Pete. They took us out for a curry which was equally as good as the Ghandi(sorry Dad). They invited us out on their boat on the weekend which was heaps on fun. We went to Mudeford near the New Forest, Andy had a go at water skiing on a single ski and provided plenty of entertainment with his acrobatic tumbles. Pete said that it was the first time he saw anyone pick it up so fast. It was a really hot day reaching 30 degrees, and we could see the Isle of Wight from the beach. England was playing that day against Germany so Andy and Pete went to the pub near by... unfortunately they got flogged! All in all it was a great day out!

Next stop Greece!!
