I had mentioned in an earlier blog my Friend Paul and his wife Gina who are having a ball in Japan....well they have been keeping tabs on my blog and Gina provided the following snippet of info on the whole cash card debate:- "Read in your blog about the post office card - don't do it!! there are loads out there and the one we've ended up with is from www.cashplus.co.uk it's a mastercard gold card and the charges are less than that on the post office card and if you have online bankng with your bank you can transfer money directly onto it from there. also have a look at www.splashplastic.co.uk that's only a meastro card so not sure if it would be any good but the charges on there are almost nothing!! whichever ... read more

Well its back round to Easter again, maybe its an age thing?..........but it only seems yesterday it was Christmas 2006 and now it is Easter.But on the upside it means the year will spin past i shall be on my Grand Adventure...........it started off as a Trip..........but one of my friends on Couch Surfers said it was more epic than a trip.................so i renamed it for her and well it does sound quite awesome.........i can say to people now.....hey im going on a Grand Adventure. Now i have no car (cost cutting for my Adventure), i had to suffer/enjoy the joys of British public transport, although truth be told, the trauma i expected did not materialize...............wow has Great British transport improved?.........perhaps i just had a good run and im not holding my breath for the return ... read more

Just realized this morning thats now April, another month gone and another month closer to my Grand Adventure,it was originally a trip, but some friends on the Couch Surfing site said it was too much to be called a trip. So its now officially my Grand Adventure, i was out with friends last night in the Northern Quarter in Manchester city center and so im feeling a little worse for wear this morning. I think minimizing for a trip just shows how much value ourselves in the west put into materialistic things and how we waste money. I am selling more stuff on eBay and the fact i still have stuff to sell on eBay goes to show how much time and money i have wasted on stuff that i have been used or worn once. ... read more

Here we are, two passionate people in search of an adventure. This a story taking us from our little house in Manchester to far flung and wonderful places that we had so far only dreamed about. It's a story where we find out more about ourselves as individuals and where our limits may or may not be as well as story of two people coming closer together than they thought possible.
