Woke up about an hour before landing. Skipped breakfast but had coffee. We landed just after 6am. I walked fast, as usual, to immigration; walked right up to the desk and was stamped in after the usual questions. Walked to baggage, and my bag was just drifting around the carousel, so I barely had to deviate out of my path or slow down to grab it. Out of customs into the empty airport, grabbed a few pounds from the ATM, then walked to the Tube. No issue getting a ticket; train arrived shortly after I reached the platform. Not a very crowded ride to town – day appeared overcast and humid. At Victoria, much less crowded than past days. Bought my ticket without difficulty; train to Shortlands left about five minutes after I boarded. Walked to Allison's, and she greeted me at the door. What an easy trip!

After spending a couple of hours chatting around her kitchen table, as usual, we went to High Elms Country Park for a two mile walk, then a ploughman's lunch. The day, by now, was sunny and windy and warm. We sat outside and chatted. Then stopped at the grocery for wine on the way home.

In the evening, we took Celine to Irish Dance class. Traffic was horrific on the drive – it took 45 minutes to reach the school. Dance class ran late, until after 8:30, so it was 9:30pm by the time we were home and finished dinner. Wonderful pork sticky buns for dinner.

Allison and I chatted until 11:30pm, by which time I was quite tired. So I went upstairs, skyped with Paul, then went to bed.
