Well ive been here a few days now.. sleeping in Sarahs strange single room downstairs, and tryna see and do a few things, and just getting the feel of England in general. Man i absolutely love the amount of pubs and bars they have here. Like, iv probably expressed that im a fan of places like the Irish at Ozone back home. Good for a meal and a pint. Well rather than finding one every 20minute drive maybe, theres like 6 on every street here in England!! If ure anywhere near London, you are guaranteed to have just a few minute walk from your front door, to get to one. Another thing I like about London as opposed to back home, is theres just so much happening and on. Theres always something to see or do, or a new place to discover. Im not sure you could really get bored here.
On the other hand, let me tell ya bout why I miss home. The whole feel of live here is just so stressful. People are always rushing about, and always have somewhere to be. Stand in their way, and they will let you know about it too. Everything is

Thats Sarah (my second cousin, i think) her boyfriend Brendan and myself eating out at an Indian resteraunt.
really really congested.. Suberban life? nope.. its not around here. Its all about multiple story flats, and limited parking space. Its overflowing with people. Its nowhere near as layback as back home either, and whilst I think the people here are comparible to Australians, i dont find them as approachable or friendly generally (hehe sorry to any English reading this!!).
Having said that, Sarah and Brendan, whom which ive been staying this week have been extremely friendly, and I really appreciate them letting me stay. Im looking forward to getting to Durham tomorrow (i hope) and meeting the rest of my family over here.
So the last few days, basically ive just been doing little bits n pieces. Got a haircut, catching the Tube around, cought up with Contiki pals. Yesterday i did a museum crawl so to speak. Went to the V&A Museum, Science museum, and Natural History museum (my fav of the 3). Also went past the renowned Harrods department store near Knightsbridge. Then it was off to Highbury and Islington station on soccer related matters. I couldnt get a ticket for the Champions League match, so i figured id at least get to suberb it was played in,

and watch it in a pub with the locals. We won again, so it was good fun. Today, perhaps off to St Pauls to see the interior, and the British museum if theres time. Im still tryna organise how il get to Durham though. Whats news back home? Have you all seen the pictures? almost uploaded my entire tour worth. Drop me a line. Part of me is excited about all that ive seen, and whats coming up and part of me is a bit homesick.. missin people in Melbourne.

This squirrel almost cost me St Pauls Cathedral!! It insisted on drawing my attention, so when i made it to the entrance, admission for the day had closed by one minute. Fortunatley i gained admission for "the service" for free :)

Outside of Harrods. This is one of the most popular and hugest shopping stores in England. Got just about everything you could want, at an escalated price. Also comes with a unexplained Egyptian themed centrepiece escalator..
